Core concepts

The eight ideas that explain the whole platform.

Tenant

A tenant is one business on Kinetic — you. Your data is kept separate from every other business. You sign in with your Org ID, email, and password at the Business Centre (/portal). One Kinetic instance serves many tenants safely.

Copilot

The Copilot is your AI business assistant and the main interface of the platform. It runs an agent loop: it reasons about what you asked, picks the right tools, and works until the task is done. It chats with you in the Business Centre sidebar, during onboarding, and on WhatsApp or Telegram. See Using your Copilot.

Verticals

A vertical is a capability pack for one area of business: CX (customer conversations), LG (lead generation), BD (business development), BI (business intelligence), LC (legal & compliance), and BX (business operations). You enable only what you need on the Verticals page. Each vertical has its own guide — see the sidebar.

Channels

A channel is a place where conversations happen: WhatsApp, Telegram, web chat, USSD, SMS, or email. The Copilot answers on every connected channel, and all messages flow into one inbox regardless of origin. See Channels setup.

Unified Inbox

Your Inbox at /portal/inbox merges three kinds of threads:

Each thread is tagged by source vertical and channel. Filter by vertical, channel, or status (Needs you / In progress / Resolved). One reply box sends from the right place automatically: a reply to a customer goes out on the customer's channel; a reply to a lead or partner goes to their WhatsApp when it is active.

Artifacts

Artifacts are documents your Copilot reads so it can answer with real facts: price lists, product catalogs, terms of service, inventory sheets, business profiles. Upload them on the Artifacts page. When a customer asks a question, the Copilot answers from these documents instead of guessing.

Units

Units are the platform's consumption currency. AI work — replies, research, document reading — consumes units from your wallet. Your balance is always visible in the top bar of the Business Centre. See Units & billing.
